Why we need the “We the People” Amendment

The ancient story of the human race boils down to this: the few govern the many, exploit the earth and entrench their power. We celebrate the few times the many have risen up, if even for a moment.

The United States is supposed to be different, a mythical democracy of story and song, a global force for good. Yet the elites’ power has deeper roots here than anywhere on Earth. Their branches reach into every area of life, exploiting and despoiling, invading and occupying. The corporation is their vehicle.

What can the people, the many, do?

We can chop at the thousands of branches of corporate harms one after the other — war, poverty, disease, famine, climate destruction and cultural corruption by forming coalitions to fight those evils. But that alone will not reach the roots of corporate power.

Our supreme challenge now is to work with our allies and comrades to both fight the evils and strike at the root. We can do it. For the sake of our Earth and its inhabitants we must do it.

These videos introduce a way to do both. The choice is ours. Reflect. Rethink. That’s the beginning.
