The response once again was primarily positive along this busy Rt 1 intersection on the edge of town.
One driver, an older man, said to me, “It’s good to see someone finally taking a stand.”
Because I was positioned on the medium strip in the middle of the road those stopped at the traffic light often rolled their window down to talk with me. Several liked my sign that read, ‘No More $$$ for Ukraine: $140 billion so far’.
Young and old alike passing by affirmed our belief that the American people are coming around and are eager to see this Biden administration neo-con war aimed at Russia shut down. Several motorists mentioned that Washington is wasting their taxpayer dollars which are desperately needed here at home.
The role of the U.S. in the new world corporate order is going to be to export security. That means endless wars and weapons in space. The Pentagon will send our kids off to foreign lands to suppress opposition to corporate globalization. How will we ever end America’s addiction to war and violence as long as our communities are dependent on military spending for jobs? We must work to convert the military industrial complex to sustainable technologies like wind power, solar, and mass transit.
