On the morning of November 4, 12 people blockaded the site of Elbit Systems in Filton, Bristol, stopping all traffic from entering and halting weapons production for the day. Among them Emma Kamio, the mother of Ellie Kamio an imprisoned member of the Filton 25 who is serving a draconian six-year sentence for destroying 40 lethal Israeli drones in 20 minutes in 2024.

Despite this use of the terrorism framework to shut down direct action against Elbit Systems, and the cowardly proscription of Palestine Action, people continue to put their bodies on the line to stop the export of weapons to be used in Israel that will be used in the continued genocide of the Palestinian people.

In the week before the action, over 20 Palestinians were murdered by the occupation forces. This includes two children, and many more wounded. This is not new, since the so-called ceasefire have seen 5,989 violations reported, with weapons supplied from factories like this one in Filton.

While sites in Britain continue to resource ongoing genocide and illegal occupation, it is our responsibility to shut them down,

 TAKE DIRECT ACTION

 SUPPORT DIRECT ACTION

Just twelve people blocked all roads to Filton today. If we had one hundred we could shut down the factory for a week, and thousand people would knock out a whole three months of profit. Only you can make that happen.

See you at the next blockade,

Silence Elbit Drones

“In order to hear the birds, the drones must be silent”

Those words, which were adapted from a poem by the Palestinian author Marwan Makhoul, were read out by Leona Kamio on behalf of four of the Filton 25 before they were sent back to prison, after they were sentenced as terrorists, on the basis of criminal damage convictions.

We take these words into action: together we will shut down every Elbit site in Britain with direct action.
