Minnesota and especially the Twin Cities have a culture of democracy, solidarity and resistance that goes back generations. They were old hands at organizing for the common good way before Trump decided to make an example of the city that represents everything he hates– multiculturalism, compassion, diversity.

Tragically, two people were killed and many more disappeared into the Trumpian fascist gulag before the crisis was over. But it ended on a celebratory note for Minnesotans and every person in the world who is inspired and motivated by seeing the fascists take a beating. – Mike Ferner
