I happened to come across this 10 minute video with Abby Martin, who is as passionately honest as she is brilliant. It is not only Netanyahu and the Israeli right, it is an entire society.
A few years ago at breakfast in Woodstock, NY, I asked my friend’s mother, an Israeli Jew, a prominent very progressive educator who was visiting for the day, if it was true as reported in Haaretz that over 90% of Israeli Jews actually supported the genocide in Gaza. She only said solemnly, “It’s worse.” Two words and her expression of deep sadness and grief said everything. – Tarak Kauff
